Day 3 - Tuesday, February 3
Theresa got a pill stuck behind her tonsil in the middle of the night. But it eventually dissolved. Then Roger got up at 6:15 and went jogging. Could see the hills of Haiti to the south of us. Big cumulus cloud bank on the horizon. And saw the sunrise on the ocean... neat!
While jogging in air at 75 degrees and nice breeze in February is really neat. Jogging on tracks is still a bummer... boring. And yes I know I shouldn't complain. Just thought I'd let you know how tough we have it.
We just moored in Labadee, Hispanola which is on the island of Haiti. We're in a harbor less than a mile from shore.
==============
Just got back from spending about 3 hours in Labadee. It is a peninsula on the island of Haiti. We walked from one end of the peninsula to the other and then road a shuttle tram around the peninsula. Finally we had lunch on the island, provided by the cruise and then tendered back to the ship.
Dinner tonight excellent - and the waite staff sang an Italian song for the customers.
Next we're going to the Production Show entitled, "Rain" which is suppose to be all Beatles music. Then at 10:30, we go to the "don't miss it" ice show.
=============
Four guys in a group called Rain sang Beatles music for over an hour. Great show.
Then we ran to the other end of the ship and saw 12 ice skaters in another hour show. Great ice show.
More tomorrow.
