More Mountains

There were just too many mountain scenes to limit it to one page. So here we go:

Still at Athabasca pass, another couple asked if we would exchange each other's camera for photos. We gladly obliged.

Back on the road, this on was taken "backwards" as we kept going. This is a "no-no", as it never works. Or does it?

This is where we run out of adjectives. Nothing to say, but to enjoy the view.

More of the same, but different!

More!

Roger in the parking lot of the only gas station along the entire route from Lake Louise to Jasper. Surrounded by mountains, it was not a waste to stay awhile for soup and souvenirs... and pictures! We asked how long they stay open; they close from mid October to mid April, approximately-the whole darn road is shut! If you want to go to Jasper, you go through Edmonton, not on this road.

Nothing more to say: snow on the mountain, fall color, emerald lake.

Maybe, arguably, one of the favorites.

Looking like huge chunks of ice with quite a lot of new fallen snow, the Rockies never seem to end. sometimes every quarter-mile, something different.

Much later, we shot the rear view mirror for our last look at the mountains as we headed back to Calgary. I do not find it very "artful" but Roger thinks it is clever.
