More Fall Color
Well, today is probably the last "nice" Fall day we'll have in 2004. Tomorrow (October 13, 2004) & the next several days are suppose to be cold & rainy & windy. So all the leaves will be gone by the next "warm" day, whenever that is. We just could not restrain our euphoria over the wonderful scenery in our area, and hope that you have had some of your own.
This is an "off road" path near our Luce Line walking area.
This is Gleason Lake that is crossed by the Luce Line (see later bridge picture). The Luce Line is an old abandoned railroad right-of-way. Color on this photo might be called a little past peak, but I am in search of the "perfectly" composed scene... not quite there yet...
Blazing red sumac within a stand of poplar and many other trees.
Here comes Roger across the bridge. He goes faster than I, so I have time to play with the camera.
Another little side path off the beaten path. It was a beautiful, peaceful day to be savored.
Sumac again, two varieties - some red - some orange, along our gravel walking path.
There is a summer shot from this place, taken last year, on another portion of our family web site. I think I was in a slightly different spot.
