Fall Color 2004

Fall in Minnesota is, in some ways, the most beautiful season of the year. Below are some testimonials. On Sunday October 10, we went out for a drive; then later in the day took a walk in our neighborhood.  Using the digital camera, we took dozens of shots. Hopefully these few will be enjoyable for you.

Out on Highway 6, just west of Plymouth, here is one of many "flaming" scenes.

Along the same stretch of highway, the contrast with the still green and flowing willow was interesting.

In our own neighborhood, just look at this!

In the park near our house; less color but pretty, all the same.

Up the  hill in the same park, brilliant trees looking across to the Carlson towers about 3 miles away.

Another view atop the hill, in the park, overlooking Parker's Lake. It was nearly sunset. This is possibly my favorite, at least for purposes of composition. The previous one is pretty good too, if I do say so myself.

At our corner is our house, and the neighbor's, framed by more beauty.

In our own little back yard, our brilliant maple and other plants. It is actually more beautiful than this  appears.
