Chattanooga Barbershop Singing Contest
Below are pictures of the various contest events.
Lunch with our friends from Memphis, Connie and Dwain chambers; also their grandson Austin, and the two of us. Nice hotel restaurant with a lovely 2nd floor view of trees.
Roger here with a young, highly talented and newly qualified judge from Roger's chorus, on his first official assignment. Tom M. makes us proud.
A nice overview of judging panel preparations. You see a glimpse of the most beautiful fully restored Chattanooga theatre, the Tivoli.
Here you see Roger in the dark, working on the panel with his computer, as the fine 3d place Memphis chorus performs their contest set.
Hilarious "Big Chicken" Chorus from Marietta Georgia (Atlanta): "There she goes, my old hen", a parody. etc...
A smaller chorus who began and ended with a tableau which was ingenious. I think they were from Winston-Salem NC.
Our friend Connie Chambers with her brother and nephew proudly accepting a Hall of Fame award for their absentee and ailing father, who was connected to the hall by public address telephone.
