Chattanooga Travel After Contest

After the contest activities Sunday morning, we decided to stay in Chattanooga for another day. So we went sightseeing.

We got into our car and explored Chattanooga. This is the remarkable incline roadway (almost 80 degrees!) which is one way to get to the top of a "mountain" for city views. We took our own car.

Theresa standing in the pleasant noon day sun with the river and the City down below.

Then we went to the acclaimed aquarium, which is much better than average; and we have seen many! Roger is seen here at a real waterfall inside the huge facility. It is actually under construction to include even more.

Just one of a great many fresh and salt water tanks. We think it was 7 stories high!

Driving out of Chattanooga into the mountains going West. Fog is common in Tennessee, but it of course burns off in the morning sun.

Driving through Nashville as we continue toward home.

Harvesting: a scene duplicated all through Illinois, Iowa, and Minnesota.

Herbert Hoover Presidential Museum in Iowa.

One of many displays in the museum.

Roger viewing a multi million (yes, million) totally true and functioning replica of Washington's Mount Vernon.  Every door knob, every drawer, etc. works. All privately funded. It even automatically comes apart so you can see inside.

Back to reality in the Minneapolis rush hour.
