Adam & Jessica's Wedding Day

Man, oh man, things were H-0-T! Hot weather, hot romance! Nephew Adam (the son of Theresa's brother, Jerry & wife Sandy) was married to Jessica. The wedding was at the Basilica of St. Mary in Minneapolis, while the reception was at the historic Landmark Center in St. Paul. What you see here is but a small sample  of what we all were privileged to behold. The music of course is not captured; and it was beautiful, including a hand bell rung by the flower girl in procession; and the organ music was magnificent. There was also a violin and a cantor.

All draped in colorful "banners", here we see the vast beauty of the Basilica. The bride and groom are at your right of the altar area. There were about 350 folks there, so you can see how the church must hold 1,000.

The entire wedding party assembled on the altar steps for part of the spectacular ceremony.

Parents of the groom, Jerry & Sandy; and the lucky couple, Adam and Jessica, receiving guests in the shade of the church, and  part of the Minneapolis skyline behind them .

That same receiving line.

In front of the Landmark Center, here they are, having just arrived in cousin Josh's Viper. (Josh and Adam were college roommates.)

More housemates, this time our son David and his son Garth, again beside the Viper. Adam stayed at David' s home for over a year, just before the marriage.

"Baby" brother Brian, home on leave from his Washington Air Force position, and oldest sister Theresa. Twenty three years between them. Sharing dinner with him, his wife Dawn, and son Jacob was a special treat.

Lovey-dovey for the first dance. These kids were made for each other.  Now they start  a new life together, and have new employment positions in a new city, with a "new" house, which they will turn into a real home.
