Pop's Birth Anniversary Party, Aunt Jean's Burial, & Tornadoes

On a beautiful Saturday afternoon, Margaret hosted a wonderful party at her & Ron's home to celebrate the anniversary of Pop's birth on July 4th, 1916. He would have been 94 this year. Attending were all of his kids, including Mike (& Mary) from California, as well as most of his grandkids, and many of his great grandkids.

On that same Saturday, Dan, Dave, & I attended the burial of Theresa's Aunt Jean at the Fairmont Cemetery. Kathy had other commitments and couldn't attend.

On the preceding Thursday evening 39 17 tornadoes occurred in Minnesota. Wadena up north was wiped out. And lots of damage occurred in Kiester near Albert Lea. I watched Jim & many farmers remove machinery from a machine shed that was demolished by a tornado south of Blue Earth. Pictures are from the Ellendale area north of Albert Lea.

Enjoy all the pictures below. (Dan's wife, Dawn, allowed me to use her pictures. Thanks, Dawn.)
