Special Labor Day Events

What a wonderful holiday weekend. I spent the weekend in Blue Earth & Frost with many, many friends & relatives culminating in another beautiful day at the State Fair. Here are the details.

Friday I drove down to Blue Earth. That evening we celebrated with a Anniversaries Dinner. Three wedding anniversaries were to be recognized. Fifty years ago on September 3, 1960, Theresa & I were married. Thirty six years ago on September 4th, Jim & Diane were married. And six years ago, on September 5th, Denise & Randy were married. Our dinner was at Red Lobster in Mankato. And it was delicious and the companionship was fabulous.

Then Saturday was the Frost High School - All School Reunion. What great time had by all. Saw dozens, maybe even hundreds of old friends from school. At 3 they had a nice program. At 5 they served a wonderfull dinner. And a dance at 7. Didn't leave till after 8:30.

On Sunday, we attended a service at the High School gym with a pancake breakfast put on by the Frost Fire Department afterwards. Then we went to Amy & Tim's cabin on beautiful Bass Lake near Winnebago for an afternoon of food, games, & water sports.

And Monday, despite a few light rain showers was cool - a good day to go to the Great Minnesota State Fair.

What an enjoyable weekend!
