Saw Jim's classmate & his wife. | |
Had Mexican breakfast. | |
Located Dale & friends - great banana bread & Pepsi | |
Located Jim's partner's cousin re A/C question. | |
Had supper at Applebee's |

old owners left right after lunch | |
cleaned house for a couple hours | |
expensive trip to Wal*Mart for bedding & initial groceries | |

Diane made a delicious breakfast | |
Drove to Mexico for Jim to have a lost filling fixed - needed a crown which we pick up on Thursday | |
Had a taco special at the local VFW for supper with several local yokels | |
Picked up a few more household items at the local Wal*Mart | |
Tomorrow morning we have to leave at 7:30 for a 4 hour tour of Brownsville harbor | |

Wednesday, March 11th

Brownsville harbor tour was very enjoyable | |
lots of interesting industries: gravel storage, oil storage, shrimp boat storage, shipunbuilding, scrap steel processing | |
came home on backroads | |
finally washed the car (ourselves) | |
evening hot tub is 102 degrees - nice | |

Cold snap this morning: 50 degrees (feels worse than that) - had to get out the long pants |
Finished cleaning & hauling .... (that was for you Kristina) | |
Jim was notified that his phone info was stolen by Mexicans and his phone has been turned off by Alltel - call Diane's to reach them | |
Returned to Nuevo Progreso dentist where Jim got his new crown | |
Attended park Karoake extravaganza where Jim & Diane danced & Jim debuted his singing career | |
Rained/sprinkled all day | |
Cold tonight - 40s | |

Friday, March 13th
Danny & Candy Saase (who live here in the same park) picked us up this mid-morning and took us to a fruit stand, lunch & nut house. | |
And Jim finally found his "hair" cap that he's been crying for, for the past month | |
We attended a park show of a band featuring Country & Pop music in the big hall | |
Lastly, this evening we have to get everything packed & ready for a 6 AM departure tomorrow morning | |

Saturday, March 14th
Up early, were out of the house by 5:55 AM | |
Central Texas traffic was awful | |
Austin is a "must avoid" | |
Wanted to drive to Wichita, but the Super 8 there was full | |
So we stayed in Perry, OK, same place as on the way down | |
Made 770 miles, so we have about 550 left for tomorrow | |
Should be in Blue Earth by 6. So I probably won't drive back to Plymouth till Monday morning | |
