Colorado Trip

This winter, Kathy & Cam invited me to travel with them and their friends, the Pierstorffs for a spring break ski vacation at Beaver Creek, Colorado. It was a wonderful 10 days. Enjoy the pictures. Or click here to read the daily journal. And you must click this link to see pictures of our beautiful resort facilities. http://www.vrbo.com/153415

Here's the gang of 8 heading out on their first morning ready for a day of skiing.

This is a picture of a ice rink in Beaver Creek village with resorts and mountains behind.

Resorts in a snowstorm (snow doesn't show) with tall lighted trees in the center.

On the morning after the big snow (see journal), this was the view standing in our back door looking out at the ski trail and the swimming pool.

Here's all 8 skiers ready to head out for a day of skiing. This ski trail was immediately out our back door.

Below is our unit the morning after the big snow. Picture was taken out the window across the street in the Exercise Room.

The mountains along Loveland/Vail valley the morning after the big snow.

Here we all are at the Dusty Boot in Beaver Creek village, ready for dinner.

A mountain stream after a 23" snowfall. In Beaver Creek village.

Skiers ready for another great day of skiing - taken just outside our back door.

Back, left to right: Cam, Kath, Patty, Dan

Another shot of the Beaver Creek valley connecting to the Loveland/Vail valley on a clear day - 2 days after the big snowfall of 23".

Tubing were Nate & Rachel with Kyla waiting her turn.

The pool had a climbing wall in the pool. Here's Kyla attempting an aquaclimb. Eventually she made it to the top.

Here Connor climbs. I think he made it to the top on his first try.

The end-of-season youth light show. I think that's Kyla & Rachel in the blue almost down.

Fireworks after the youth light show.

Here was a beautifully lit tree on the way to getting pizza.

A beautiful snow scene as we drove out of the mountains.

What better picture to end with than the entrance to the Eisenhower Tunnel (under Loveland Pass) leading back onto the plains of central America, and home, in Minnesota.
